What commission does the platform take?
The commission is 19.5% by default on each completed order. You set your own prices, so you can build the commission into them.
How much does registration cost?
Registration and listing your menu are free. You only pay commission on real orders.
How do verification and tasting work?
We meet you, taste a few of your dishes, photograph your kitchen and check sanitary conditions. That's how we keep quality high across the platform.
Do I need restaurant experience?
No. Ulupa is a place for people who love to cook — home cooks and professionals alike. No special education is required.
How will I know about an order?
A new paid order appears in your dashboard with a notification. You confirm the order and start cooking.
How and when do I get paid?
Payment is online (TBC/BOG). The platform receives the funds as your agent and transfers your share to your bank details after the order is fulfilled.
How do I set my schedule?
You choose available dates in the calendar and a maximum number of orders per date. When the limit is reached, the date closes.
Do I need to be a registered entrepreneur? What about taxes?
You don't need entrepreneur status to register. However, money received in your account counts as income, and you are responsible for taxes under the law of Georgia.
Can I combine this with another job?
Yes. The flexible schedule is ideal for combining — you decide when and how many orders to take.
How does the buyer pay for an order?
1. The buyer pays for the order and delivery right at checkout. 2. The money is held (“frozen”) in a dedicated account. 3. Once the order is successfully delivered, the payout for the order and delivery lands on your card after 6 hours (minus the 19.5% commission).
How is the delivery fee calculated?
The delivery fee is calculated automatically by our system and depends on the order amount and the distance between the buyer and the cook.
How do I send an order?
If the order is for delivery, you can either deliver it yourself or send it via a delivery service (Yandex, Wolt, Glovo). You order the courier, pay for it and send the order to the customer yourself.
Do I need a health certificate?
We recommend getting a health certificate (medical book) right after registration, but you can start working on the service without one. Once you reach 500 ₾ in monthly revenue it becomes mandatory: you cook for many customers, so the risk and responsibility grow. Upload it to your dashboard and send it to a manager for review to get the “Health certificate verified” badge. Having it boosts buyers’ trust and increases the number of orders — so we strongly recommend getting it as soon as possible.
What should the packaging be and where do I get it?
The packaging should be of good quality so the order arrives intact, and presentable — so the buyer is impressed not only by the food but also by how the order looks. You can buy it at any specialised store — just search for “packaging”. If needed, we’ll help you choose. Branded bags and cards can be purchased from the service team — they must be included in every order. Prices: large bag — 1.5 ₾, small bag — 1 ₾, card — 0.5 ₾, sticker — 0.15 ₾.
